South Park pair sign up for more movies

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the men behind South Park, have signed a deal with Paramount.

The deal will keep the duo, who also made Team America: World Police, at the studios for three years as Paramount aims to take on a cooler image.

Paramount president Gail Berman said: "Trey and Matt are some of the most original voices in entertainment.

"They are funny and brilliant, and we are extremely happy they want to continue to make movies with us at Paramount."

Besides making the South Park TV series and the film South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut, Parker and Stone were also behind the comedies Orgazmo, and Baseketball.

Details of future projects for the pair have not been released, but there is set to be a new adventure for Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny in South Park - The Passion Of The Jew, which, of course, takes its title from Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ.
