Believe it or not! Carrey and Burton togetherThe adventurer and journalist Ripley is best known around the world for his Believe It Or Not column that brings wacky facts to the world. The film is set to be an action-adventure set in the 1930s following the exploits of Ripley, known as a real life Indiana Jones, around the world. Burton, director of Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and Mars Attacks!, will team up with writers Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander, the pair who wrote another of his films Ed Wood. Carrey has also worked with the duo, as they wrote the script for Man On The Moon, the biopic of Andy Kaufman. Filming is set to start in London next year and before then Carrey will be making Joel Schumacher's thriller Number 23, alongside Elisabeth Shue, and Used Guys with Ben Stiller, a comedy set in the future when women have taken over the world.
