Pitt aides blast German translation of Valkyrie 'comments'

Brad Pitt's comments about Tom Cruise's World War II movie Valkyrie appear to have been lost in translation - his publicists insist the actor didn't take aim at his Interview With A Vampire co-star in a recent German interview.

Talking about his new film Inglourious Basterds in Stern magazine, Pitt reportedly told a journalist that Cruise's Valkyrie was "a ridiculous movie".

But Pitt's people insist their client was misquoted.

A spokesman for the star says, "Brad has never seen Valkyrie so this is not accurate."
