Ritchie to make alien bounty hunter film

Guy Ritchie has signed up to direct Warner Bros. blockbuster alien action movie Lobo.

The moviemaker will follow his Sherlock Holmes film, which is set for release at Christmas (09), with a live-action adaptation of the DC Comics bounty hunter saga, according to Variety.

The film is set to start production early next year (10) and follows the exploits of a seven-foot tall alien who is sent to earth to track down four fugitives from his planet.
