Sarah Jessica Parker to go to jailParker, who has also featured in Mars Attacks!, Ed Wood and Flight Of The Navigator, has signed up to be in the musical comedy Slammer. In the film she will play a publicist who is falsely sent to prison. While doing time in New York's Sing Sing jail she directs a musical, starring her fellow inmates. With negotiations still running Slammer is likely to be directed by either Adam Shankman, who has worked as choreographer on numerous films including Boogie Nights, Blast From The Past and The Wedding Planner, or Todd Graff, who directed Camp and wrote the script for the remake of The Vanishing. The original songs will be provided by Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman, who were behind the stage version of John Waters' film Hairspray, which following the example of The Producers is set to become a movie itself.
