New Tarantino film fires awayVariety has revealed that his latest flick, titled Grind House, will be two separate 60-minute horror films that will reunite the From Dusk Till Dawn production team, with Tarantino directing one and Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Spy Kids) shooting the other. Typically convoluted from the outset, the Grind House project reportedly comprises Tarantino's part, a slasher movie called Death Proof, and Rodriguez's part, a zombie movie titled Planet Terror, connected by fake trailers between them acting as an intermission. Grind House supposedly pays tribute to the double-billed low-budget action and horror films that proved popular in offbeat grindhouse cinemas in America during the 1970s. The report in Variety claims a release date of September has been pencilled in but no news has yet been released surrounding possible casting. Tarantino, whose previous directional work includes Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has also announced he is to direct and write another film Inglorious Bastards, a World War II drama along the lines of The Dirty Dozen. There is also speculation that the Jackie Brown director might work on a fourth Beverly Hills Cop film, with Eddie Murphy coming back as an aged Axel Foley. The concept of Grind House follows Tarantino's previous group outing Four Rooms, starring Madonna and Tim Roth, when he directed a segment of the film alongside Robert Rodriguez, Allison Anders and Alexandre Rockwell.
