Cowell taking Potts' story to big screen

Simon Cowell is to produce a movie about Britain'S Got Talent star Paul Potts.

Opera singer Potts won the first series of Britain's Got Talent in 2007 by singing an aria from Puccini's Turandot.

The portly ex-mobile phone salesman went on to record a hit album, One Chance - and now music mogul Cowell wants to produce a movie of the same name about Potts' life.

Hollywood Reporter states that producers are aiming to start shooting the flick early next year, speeding up the project so its release will coincide with the 2010 series of the reality show over the summer.
