Hanks junior to hook up with Dad for new magician flick

Tom and Colin Hanks are to join up again for a new film, it has been reported.

The dad and son duo will star alongside each other in the picture The Great Buck Howard. Colin will feature as a school leaver who decides to become a magician's assistant, while Tom will play the role of Colin's father.

Kevin Kline has also been pegged to play the role of Buck Howard himself, an illusionist whose career is on the slide. The film will follow the magician's career and fall into decline.

Tom and Colin Hanks have worked together before, with both featuring in the HBO TV series Band Of Brothers and feature drama That Thing You Do!, about a fictional 60s band which manages to pull off a one hit wonder.

Colin also appeared in the 2002 comedy Orange County, alongside comedian Jack Black, and took the role of Preston in Peter Jackson's epic version of King Kong.

Earlier roles included teen movie Get Over It and hit TV series Roswell, set in a high school located near the alleged Roswell UFO incidents.
