Zeta Jones cooks up kitchen sink drama

Catherine Zeta Jones has honed her kitchen skills in preparation for a new Hollywood role.

The Welsh star, who appeared on British TV screens in the early 90s in the Darling Buds Of May but has since featured in films such as Traffic and Mask Of Zorro, helped cook food for punters in the Manhattan Italian restaurant Fiamma.

Employees at the establishment told People Magazine that Ms Zeta Jones went un-detected, with only some customers spotting that the new member staff had a passing resemblance for a certain movie star.

A Fiamma waitress said: "One night she did a little serving. A few people said to her, 'You look so much like Catherine Zeta-Jones'. And she said, 'Oh, I get that all the time'."

Chef and co-owner Michael White commended the star's cooking ability, and said she didn't go unused at the restaurant.

"She's been doing a lot in the kitchen - sauteing and cutting. She's a great garnisher. Drizzling oil and balsamic on plates - she does a nice job," said chef and co-owner Michael White to the magazine.

Zeta Jones was preparing for a role in romantic comedy Mostly Martha.
