De Niro heads for the hillsScottish film fans will be keeping their eyes peeled following the news that filming of Robert De Niro's (Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Meet The Parents) latest film, Stardust, is due to begin in the Scottish Highlands soon. De Niro will be taking on the role of the pirate, Captain Shakespeare, in the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novel Stardust. Joining De Niro in the Highlands will be an array of Hollywood stars, including Michelle Pfeiffer (What Lies Beneath, Dangerous Minds), Sienna Miller (Layer Cake, Alfie) and Claire Danes (Shop Girl, Romeo And Juliet). Stardust will be directed by Matthew Vaughan and will also include a role for his wife, Claudia Schiffer. The fantasy film will be something of a departure for Vaughan whose previous screen credits include directing Layer Cake and producing the Guy Ritchie films Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. The film is expected to be released next year. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
