Fans flock to Scary Movie 4The slasher spoof, featuring Leslie Nielsen and directed by David Zucker, brought in a massive $40.2 million. Also starring Carmen Electra, the film, from Weinstein Co's Dimension Films label and co-distributed by Disney, beat the previous Easter weekend record by more than $10 million. The benchmark had belonged to David Fincher flick Panic Room, which took $30.1 million over the weekend of March 29th 2002. Behind Scary Movie 4 in the charts, was Ice Age: The Meltdown which brought in a decent $20 million following two weeks on top spot. The Benchwarmers slipped one place to third, new entry The Wild came in at fourth and Take The Lead dropped from third last week to fifth. Inside Man (sixth), Lucky Number Slevin (seventh), Thank You for Smoking (eighth), Failure to Launch (ninth) and V Is for Vendetta (tenth) rounded off the top ten.
