Producers appeal Streep movie's R rating
The producers of Meryl Streep's new movie It'S Complicated, which brings Oscars co-hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin together as love rivals, are to appeal an `R' rating classification in America. Officials at the MPAA's Classification and Rating Administration have ruled film fans under the age of 17 won't be able to see the movie without a consenting adult because of "some drug content and sexuality". But producers feel the picture has been dealt with too harshly and the R could effect any Oscar hopes - and they're seeking a softer rating by appeal. The film is due for release on 10 December (09).
