Rock back in director's chair
Following the decision of Charles Stone (Paid In Full, Mr 3,000, Drumline) to abandon his role as director on the forthcoming remake of Chloe In The Afternoon, Chris Rock has decided to step into the breach. Rock, who was due to star in the film anyway, penned the script for I Think I Love My Wife, the remake of Eric Rohmer's 1972 comedy, in conjunction with his longtime writing partner Louis CK. The last time Rock took on the role of helmer he co-starred alongside Bernie Mac for Head Of State and in this latest twinning of his acting and directorial talents he plays a family man who's subjected to temptation when an old flame, Kerry Washington (Fantastic Four, Mr And Mrs Smith, Ray), strolls back into his life. Gina Torres, the wife of Laurence Fishburne, has been cast as Rock's spouse for the comedy which is expected to begin shooting in New York this month.
