Bloom, Bosworth bite the dust

Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom is to star alongside real-life girlfriend Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns, The Rules of Attraction) in a tough new drama.

The film, entitled Seasons Of Dust, is set in depression-era America and will see Bosworth taking the role of Janey, a young woman on the run from the law after she injures a man who attempts to rape her.

Bloom will play an attractive criminal, Ricky, also on the run, who teams up with Janey to evade the law and a pair of hitmen, reports Production Weekly.

Written and directed by the multi-talented Tim Blake Nelson (Director: The Grey Zone, Actor: O Brother, Where Art Thou?), the film is due to start production in mid-July in Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Bloom turned out for the Disneyland premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest at the weekend, along with the film's other leading actors Johnny Depp (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Pride & Prejudice star Keira Knightley.
