Condon confirmed as Twilight finale director
Moviemaker and one-time Oscars producer Bill Condon has been confirmed as the director of the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn.
Summit Entertainment bosses have handed over the film franchise to the Academy Award-winning writer and director of such films as Dreamgirls and Gods & Monsters.
Condon, who co-produced the 81st Academy Awards telecast in 2009 and won a screenplay Oscar for Gods & Monsters in 1999, says, "I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life onscreen."
Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has approved the choice of director, stating, "I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material."
