Vanilla Sky 'voted most confusing movie of all time'

4 stars out of 5.0
Vanilla Sky has been voted the most confusing film of all time in a poll run by LoveFilm.

Starring Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Kurt Russell, the film tells the story of a successful publisher, who finds his life taking a turn for the surreal after a car accident with a jaded lover.

The film is a remake of the Spanish movie Abres Los Ojo.

David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive and Donnie Darko claimed the second and third spots.

Other films which featured in the list included The Matrix Revolutions, Memento, 12 Monkeys, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Revolver and A Clockwork Orange rounded off the top ten most confusing films of all time.

Editor of LoveFilm Helen Cowley said: "It's clear that dreaming is the biggest cause of confusion for viewers. Switching from reality to dream sequences pulls the wool over our eyes and leaves us searching for the truth."
