Reno ties the knot

Jean Reno, star of The Da Vinci Code, married model and actress Zofia Borucka in a French hilltop village yesterday.

Reno, one of France's most popular actors, was married to Borucka in Les Baux de Provence, in the idyllic surroundings of the village's city hall.

The beautiful countryside of southern France was enjoyed by several A-list Hollywood stars. Present at the reception afterwards were Brad Pitt, Elton John, Johnny Depp and Charles Aznavour, reports suggested.

Reno's wedding even managed to attract as a guest France's interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is widely expected to be one of the leading candidates in the country's presidential elections, which take place next year.

Also attending the wedding was the director of The Da Vinci Code, Ron Howard, who cast Reno in the role of policeman Captain Bezu Fache in the controversial blockbuster.

Yesterday's marriage is the third for the star of Leon, Ronin and Godzilla, who celebrated his 58th birthday yesterday. He had previously been married to Genevieve Reno and Nathalie Dyszkiewicz, having a son and daughter with both.

Now he is embarking on a union with 35-year-old Borucka, who has featured in small roles in Just A Kiss, K-Pax and Sex And The City.
