End of TV for Eva

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has revealed that she plans to quit television when the popular US drama series ends.

The 31-year-old star, currently filming her third season of the show as saucy Gabrielle Solis, said that she loved doing both TV and film work, but would never consider another television role after her time on Wisteria Lane came to an end.

"I would never leave Desperate Housewives," Longoria told the Associated Press.

"I love doing both (TV and film), but I would never do another TV show after Desperate Housewives."

Fans of Longoria, who made her mainstream movie debut opposite Michael Douglas in The Sentinel earlier this year, will be able to catch the pretty actress in her next film role in 2007, when her new film, How I Met My Dead Brother's Fiancee, is due for release.

Meanwhile the actress has revealed that producers of Desperate Housewives are planning to work the real-life pregnancy of Longoria's co-star Marcia Cross into the show's story line.

Cross, 44, who plays uptight Bree in the series, announced last week that she was expecting her first baby in April.

Alluding to plans that the show's bosses are planning to incorporate the pregnancy into Bree's fictional life, Longoria told TV magazine show Access Hollywood: "They are writing it in."

However she admitted that she didn't know who producers were likely to choose as the father of Bree's child, although the character is set to marry new love interest Orson, played by Kyle MacLachlan, in the latest series.
