TomKat aim to heat up the screen

Tom Cruise made three films with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman and he looks set to repeat the trend with his new real-Life leading lady Katie Holmes.

The superstar actors, who welcomed daughter Suri this year, are reportedly looking for a project that will be suitable for their debut as an on-screen couple.

"Tom is looking for a movie that will make the most of their chemistry," a source told Life and Style Weekly magazine.

"He's devoting himself to putting together a project that will not only make Katie a bona fide star, but will put him back in the good graces of the movie-going public."

Holmes, who does not hold the box office clout that Cruise enjoys, launched her post-TV film career with roles in Batman Begins and Thank You For Smoking.

She has not acted since hooking up with her famous finance.

"Katie is open to any project her fiancé puts forward but is desperate to lose the 'girl next door' image she gained from years starring as Joey in hit TV show Dawson's Creek," the source added.

Cruise recently made headlines when Paramount Studios decided not to renew his multimillion pound development contract.
