Python classic coincides with new musicalThe film, which has been voted as the best British movie of all time, will be packaged in a three-disc set, with bonus features relating to the new musical based on the story. Spamalot, written by Python star Eric Idle, launches at the Palace Theatre in London this month. The movie, which was said to make Ben Hur look like an epic, sees King Arthur, played by Graham Chapman, lead his Knights Of The Round Table in search of the Holy Grail. In a hilarious send-up of Arthurian myths and legend, the anarchic Python team cast themselves as figures such as Sir Lancelot the Brave and Sir Robin-the-not-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelet, facing perils including the killer white rabbit and the women of the Castle Anthrax. The DVD set will also include a CD soundtrack and spoof trailer based on The Da Vinci Code, as well as a money-off voucher for a tin of Spam.
