Ali G vs Johnny Depp in new Tim Burton movie

Sacha Baron Cohen – more commonly known as his alter egos Ali G and Borat – is reportedly in talks to sign up for Tim Burton's latest project, a movie version of macabre musical Sweeney Todd.

As long-time collaborators, Burton and Johnny Depp have teamed up once again for the film in which Depp will play the pie-baking, village-slaughtering title role.

According to Empire Online, Cohen could play Sweeney Todd's rival, Italian hairdresser Signor Adolfo Pirelli. If the reports are to be confirmed, Cohen will once again step into the role of a foreigner after playing Kazakh hero Borat and French racing driver Jean Girard in the recent Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have previously worked together on a number of films including last year's animation feature, Corpse Bride. Burton is widely known for his visually extravagant and gothic style, helming such movies in the past as Sleepy Hollow, Batman and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
