Prada star and Steve Carell set to team up

Anne Hathaway, star of recent box office hit The Devil Wears Prada, is set to feature alongside Steve Carell in a new movie entitled Get Smart.

Hathaway could feature as Agent 99 in the film, which would be a remake of a 1960s sitcom about a secret government agency.

She has made the transition from teen-orientated movies such as The Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted to critically acclaimed projects such as Becoming Jane and the Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain.

Meanwhile, Steve Carell, who is confirmed to star in Get Smart as central character Maxwell Smart, has recently been seen in movies such as Little Miss Sunshine and The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Get Smart is to be directed by Peter Segal, who previously took the helm of a number of comedies including 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.
