"First-class genre fun" in Deja VuAmong the cinema releases in the US this weekend is Deja Vu, an action movie starring Denzel Washington and directed by Tony Scott. The movie, which sees Washington travel back in time to try and prevent a murder, has been labelled as "first-class genre fun" by Los Angeles Times' critic Kenneth Turan. Deja Vu sees Scott and Washington team up once again, as they previously worked together in 2004's crime thriller, Man On Fire. Tony Scott - brother of Gladiator director Ridley - is well-known for taking the helm of high-octane action movies such as Top Gun, Domino and Days Of Thunder. He often collaborates with producer Jerry Bruckheimer, doing so on films including Enemy Of The State and Crimson Tide. Similarly, brother Ridley is also known for directing big-budget blockbusters. He was nominated for best director at the Oscars in 2000 for Gladiator, while recently he made the 12th century epic Kingdom of Heaven. Deja Vu is scheduled for release in the UK on December 15th 2006. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
