In 2004, Craig took the lead role in gangster film Layer Cake opposite Sienna Miller, after playing Joe in Roger Michell's adaptation of Enduring Love. Other blockbusters featuring the versatile actor include Elizabeth, Road to Perdition and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, although he began his acting career with parts in television series such as Heartbeat and Our Friends in the North.
