Jason Schwartzman lines up new role

The star of films such as Rushmore and I Heart Huckabees, Jason Schwartzman, is set to play the title role in a new movie entitled Marc Pease Experience.

Directed by Todd Louiso, the film is also expected to feature Ben Stiller although there is no word yet on any plot details.

Louiso previously helmed Love Liza in 2002 but has also racked up a considerable number of films in front of the camera.

Recently starring in Snakes On A Plane, he previously featured as music-loving nanny Chad in Jerry Maguire while also accompanying Jack Black and John Cusack in the movie adaptation of High Fidelity.

Schwartzman, who is the cousin of actor Nicolas Cage and filmmaker Sofia Coppola, recently starred a Louis XVI opposite Kirsten Dunst in historical drama Marie Antoinette.

He used to be a member of Phantom Planet, the rock band which provides the theme tune for teen drama series The O.C.
