Kate Bosworth in talks to star in life or death thriller

Superman Returns star Kate Bosworth is in talks to star in a supernatural thriller entitled After.Life.

The story is about a woman who is trapped between life and death, trying desperately to avoid being buried alive by the funeral director who will ultimately decide her fate.

Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo has written the script and is set to direct the movie, after previously helming post-apocalyptic drama Pate, which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.

Meanwhile, it could be Bosworth's first foray into the supernatural genre. She made her debut in various American television shows but shot to fame in Blue Crush, starring as a surfer alongside Michelle Rodriguez.

She also featured in The Rules of Attraction and Bee Season, while taking the lead role in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton opposite Topher Grace who starred in That '70s Show.

Kate hit the headlines last year for her on-again, off-again romance with Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom.
