Open Season declared

Animated adventure Open Season is set for its UK DVD release on January 30th 2007.

Featuring Martin Lawrence, Aston Kutcher and Billy Connolly, the family movie focuses on the tale of a grizzly bear trapped in the woods before the hunting season begins.

Martin Lawrence, star of Black Knight, Big Momma's House and Nothing to Lose, voices the ursine adventurer, while Ashton Kutcher plays his friend, a mule deer.

Ashton Kutcher recently starred alongside silver screen stalwart Kevin Costner in lifeguard adventure The Guardian and featured in The Butterfly Effect in 2004.

The pair are ably supported by British actor and comedian Billy Connolly, who won praise for his portrayal of Queen Victoria's lover in Mrs Brown.

In the interim, Connolly played roles in Tom Cruise epic The Last Samurai and Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events, joining rubber-faced funnyman Jim Carrey in the latter.
