Tobey Maguire to sell his soul?

Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is on track to sell his soul in Hollywood , having bought the rights to the story of a man who sold his soul online.

Maguire, who has starred alongside Kirsten Dunst, Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe in the Spider-Man franchise, has led a bid for the story of Gerald Fraller, a 29-year-old who put his soul up for sale on a website.

Maguire's production company is believed to have bought the rights to the story with a view to producing a new film about Fraller's life and his web venture, WinMySoul.com.

It is unconfirmed whether or not Maguire, who is due to star in the upcoming romantic comedy Quiet Type, will act as Fraller himself.

Maguire is no stranger to the biopic, having acted alongside Jeff Bridges and William H Macy in 2003's Seabiscuit, the true life story of jockey Red Pollard.
