New Ferrell comedy tops box office

4 stars out of 5.0
A new comedy starring the hilarious Will Ferrell and Napoleon Dynamite himself, Jon Heder, has claimed the number one spot in this weekend's US box office chart.

Blades Of Glory, which tells the story of two rival ice skaters who must team up after they expose a loophole in the sport's rules, features Heder and Ferrell in typically funny form, complete with a range of brightly-coloured Lycra outfits.

And UK fans will only have to wait until Good Friday (April 6th) to see the film, which earned $33 million (£16.73 million) in US cinemas this weekend.

It could be a fine return to comedic form for Ferrell after his wonderful performance in Stranger Than Fiction, soon to be released on DVD.

The film showed a more sombre side to the actor, as he played tax inspector Harold Crick who finds that his life is being dictated by the author of a book who plans to kill off the character.
