Eli Roth announces Trailer Trash

3 stars out of 5.0
Horror director Eli Roth has announced his next idea for a film - which he says will be called Trailer Trash - and consist of a string of fake trailers for made-up movies.

Explaining to Empire that it will be "absurd", "over-the-top" and "ridiculous", Roth said his plan stemmed from a great experience when directing a fake promo for use in Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming splatter-fest Grindhouse.

"It's going to be pure, unadulterated fun," Roth added. He also plans to adapt a recent Stephen King novel entitled Cell, involving a mobile signal which turns humans into murderous zombies.

The director is soon to bring Hostel: Part II to cinema screens next month, following the popularity of the first film in the series.

Prior to his gore-filled efforts with Hostel, Roth also wrote and directed Cabin Fever, a terrifying tale of five teenagers who holiday in the woods and find themselves slowly afflicted with a flesh-eating virus.
