Darren Aronofsky outlines future projectAronofsky, who recently directed fantastical science fiction drama The Fountain, told Empire Online of his intention to adapt the tale. "I'm pretty much done with the script," he said. "It's the traditional Noah story, but it's told in a serious way. More fantasy than comedy." Although he did not elaborate on when the project might come to fruition, fans can enjoy his previous work in the meantime, which is as challenging as it is original. Pi, originally released in 1999, is the chaotic journey of a paranoid genius who believes he can unlock naturally-occurring patterns with a mathematical equation, although a mysterious cult and a banking firm are also desperate to find it. Meanwhile, Requiem for a Dream adapts the well-known novel and tells the story of drug addiction spiralling out of control in a hard-hitting and innovative style.
