Critical reaction mixed on The Sopranos finale

4 stars out of 5.0
Critics across America are taking sides over whether the finale to mob drama The Sopranos was fitting for the series, which came to an end in the States this weekend.

According to Studio Briefing, reviewers are divided over the conclusion to the long-running show, which explored the domestic and personal life of a mafia boss and his New Jersey family.

Although the finale has not yet been shown in the UK, fans can currently catch up on previous episodes, which are widely popular on DVD.

Over the years, The Sopranos has featured a range of guest stars in addition to its core cast of James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco and Edie Falco, among others.

Actors such as Steve Buscemi and Joe Pantoliano have also appeared in the show, while Oscar winner Sir Ben Kingsley played himself in a season six episode.
