Series four of The Shield out on DVD

American cop drama The Shield hits shelves in retailers across the UK next week, as the fourth series of the award-winning show is released on DVD.

The region two DVD comes out on July 2nd, with 101 Dalmatians star Glenn Close among the eye-catching additions to the cast.

Close, who was nominated for an Oscar for both Dangerous Liaisons and her infamous turn as the obsessive love interest in Fatal Attraction, makes her debut as an incoming captain, Monica Rawling.

Together with veteran Shield star Michael Chiklis, who plays the bullet-headed Vic Mackey, Close's character attempts to tackle drugs kingpin Antwon Mitchell

Aside from the duo's unlikely and often incendiary pairing, the series also features the aftermath of the now disbanded Strike Team headed up by Vic and the looming presence of the DEA.
