Teen Choice nominees announced

Among the annual prize-giving ceremonies, the Teen Choice Awards is known to many as a more fun and unconventional event.

Scheduled to take place on August 26th, nominees for the 2007 Teen Choices have now been announced and include The Departed, The Pursuit Of Happyness and Blades of Glory among a number of other blockbusters.

TV Squad details the full list, with The Last Kiss, Music and Lyrics, Georgia Rule, The Holiday and Licence to Wed all up for the Choice Chick Flick award.

The prize for Choice Movie Liplock could go to shortlisters such as Beyonce and Jamie Foxx for their smooch in Dreamgirls, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom in the new Pirates of the Caribbean film or Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 3.

Meanwhile, TV categories include the Choice TV Show: Drama, in which Heroes, House, Lost, Kyle XY and Grey's Anatomy are all up for the gong.

Rather unlike a traditional golden statuette, the souvenirs given to winners are life-size surfboards.
