3 stars out of 5.0
The Graduate star Dustin Hoffman has announced he is to turn his hand to directing and take on a legal thriller entitled Personal Injuries.

Adapted from a novel by American lawyer-turned-author Scott Turow, Personal Injuries sees its protagonist caught up in a web of corruption, bribery and scandal in a small US town.

Hoffman told USA Today he is to co-write the script in addition to producing and directing the film, with an expected release date sometime next year.

More recently, he has continued his varied movie career, taking a supporting role in 2006's unique comedy drama Stranger Than Fiction.

A guest role in improvised series Curb your Enthusiasm also features on Hoffman's CV, as does Finding Neverland and hilarious Ben Stiller sequel Meet The Fockers.

The movie saw Hoffman and Barbra Streisand star as the parents of Ben Stiller, who is hoping to impress his intimidating father-in-law, played by Robert DeNiro.
