Ray Liotta to star in Powder Blue

Goodfellas star Ray Liotta is set to join Jessica Biel and Forest Whitaker for a new drama about four troubled individuals who try to connect with each other on Christmas Eve.

According to Variety, Powder Blue will see Liotta play Biel's father, who is released from jail and attempts to reacquaint himself with his family.

No details on Whitaker's character have yet emerged, but with a cast of talented actors such as this, it could be one to keep a close eye on.

Fans of Ray Liotta may have seen him in the recent buddy comedy Wild Hogs, while he also starred in the stylish Smokin' Aces alongside Jeremy Piven and Ben Affleck.

However, in addition to clocking up a fair amount of blockbusting movies, Liotta is also known for lending his vocal talents to a number of animated characters.

As well as featuring in a gangster-themed episode of the hilarious cartoon Family Guy, he also voiced the main character in the 2002 computer game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
