Fans stay potty for Potter

4 stars out of 5.0
Amid the launch of the seventh book in the series, Harry Potter fans proved they still love the movies too as the fifth film adaptation stayed at the top of the UK box office this week.

Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix kept its place at number one, according to data from AC Nielsen, collecting over £6.6 million in its second week and beating new entry Hairspray by more than £4 million.

Hairspray stars John Travolta and is an all singing, all dancing remake of the popular Broadway musical. It kept Shrek the Third in third place this week.

Die Hard 4.0 followed at number four, ahead of Bollywood comedy Partner which debuted at number five.

The only other newbie in the chart this week was Firehouse Dog, an amusing tale of an acting dog who gets mistakenly left at a firestation.

Meanwhile, Pirates of the Caribbean finally dropped out of the top ten, leaving the Fantastic Four sequel, Ocean's Thirteen, La Mome and Moliere to make up the remaining four places.
