Ice Cube to adapt graphic novel

4 stars out of 5.0
A graphic novel about a man who receives a seemingly deadly piece of junk mail is set to be adapted by rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube.

The star - real name O'Shea Jackson - and his production company are looking to create a movie from the story, which is entitled 10 and sees the protagonist receive a note stating that he and nine others are in a competition and the winner will be the only one who survives, reports Variety.

Shortly after receiving the mail an axe-wielding man arrives at his door - so the film version could definitely be a thriller worth watching.

Ice Cube began his career as a rapper but has clocked up a wide-ranging and impressive film CV since his movie debut in 1991's Boyz n the Hood.

Comedies include Friday and BarberShop, while he recently ventured into the action genre with roles in Torque and xXx: State of The Union.
