Scarlett lines up a hat trick

Lost In Translation star Scarlett Johansson may not be off cinema screens for long as she has just lined up three films which will be shot back to back.

First on the agenda is romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You, where she will play a fitness instructor who has an affair with a married man in the hope he will leave his wife for her.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, she will join Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin on the project, which was written by ex-crew members of Sex and the City.

Next up is Will Eisner's The Spirit, which is an adaptation of a noirish comic strip about an evil mastermind who is helped by his voluptuous and vindictive secretary - to be played by Johansson.

Finally, Mary Queen of Scots is to see the actress in a period role as she dons a crown to play the monarch.

Although she is just 22, Scarlett has already appeared in a host of box office smashes. Soon to be seen in The Nanny Diaries, she has previously been seen in movies such as The Island, Girl With A Pearl Earring, The Black Dahlia and Match Point.
