Keira talks awards at Atonement premiere

4 stars out of 5.0
Pride & Prejudice actress Keira Knightley attended the London premiere of her latest movie last night and talked about the praise it has received so far.

Co-starring James McAvoy and adapted from a bestselling novel by Ian McEwan, Atonement sees Knightley as a girl whose lover is accused of a crime he may not have committed.

In Leicester Square for the premiere, she discussed the possible awards for the film with MTV News.

"It's getting great reviews, people like it, that's really exciting. I think if it got awards that would be wicked but if it doesn't then I don't think it devalues the film," she said, following some speculation that Atonement may win her an Oscar.

The actress has come a long way since her early roles in films such as The Hole and Bend It Like Beckham.

Starring in all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Knightley found worldwide fame and has featured opposite actors such as Adrian Brody in The Jacket and Clive Owen in King Arthur.
