Alien duel rules US box officeThe disagreeable extraterrestrials, who have starred separately in a total of six major films, battle it out on planet earth. Alien And Predator have already fought it out in a series of comic books but fans have been waiting for years to see the two beasts face each other on the big screen. So it's Alien, the screeching, acid-for-blood impregnator, versus Predator, the dreadlocked, tooled-up, invisible, intergalactic hunter. A match made in heaven. Tom Cruise's latest film was pushed down into third place. Collateral sees The Cruiser team up with Heat director Michael Mann in a tense thriller. The movie took £8.7 million. The Bourne Supremacy was in fifth taking £4.5 million. The second movie in the Bourne trilogy has it's UK release this week and has been well-received by critics.
