Ratatouille pips Saw IV at the post

Grisly horror sequel Saw IV may have proved popular with Halloween audiences this weekend, but not quite as much as animated comedy Ratatouille, according to this week's UK box office chart.

Figures from AC Nielsen stated that for the weekend starting October 26th, Ratatouille grossed a total of more than £3.58 million, while Saw IV made over £2.48 million.

Fantastical tale Stardust occupied third place, followed by the new offering from David Cronenberg, Eastern Promises.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon's Rendition was placed fifth, with Ben Stiller in The Heartbreak Kid spending its fourth week in the chart - this time at number six.

The only other new entry besides Saw IV and Eastern Promises was Sicko, the new documentary from Michael Moore.

Following his previous films such as Fahrenheit 9/11 and Bowling For Columbine, Sicko takes a look into the US healthcare system in a persuasive and often humorous way.
