Heroes creator promises to speed up sluggish 2nd season

UK audiences enjoying the first season of hit sci-fi show Heroes might be relieved to hear that its creator is revamping the second season.

Currently airing in the US, the second series gives answers to a number of mind-boggling plotlines laid out in the first series, although some viewers have said the pace is much slower than when the show debuted.

However, according to Entertainment Weekly's website, creator Tim Kring has realised his mistake and will be rectifying it in forthcoming instalments of Heroes.

''We assumed the audience wanted season one - a build-up of intrigue about these characters and the discovery of their powers," he told the online magazine. "They wanted adrenaline. We made a mistake.''

The first half of the first series has recently been released on DVD, with the second half set to be made available in December.
