Not-so-Final Destination gets 4th outing

A fourth instalment of the Final Destination series of films has a director and is set to be filmed in 3D, the Hollywood Reporter confirmed today.

David R Ellis, who helmed Snakes On A Plane and Cellular, will direct Final Destination 4, which has no plot details available as yet.

However, it is likely to be in the same vein as the previous three, which saw a group of teens picked off one by one by the Grim Reaper after avoiding a horrific accident.

Each film upped the ante in terms of gruesome deaths, such as decapitation, fire, accidental stabbing and strangulation, while the cast has all gone on to feature in a range of hit films.

Ali Larter, who starred in the first two movies, is now a main character in sci-fi series Heroes and Sean William Scott recently starred in The Dukes of Hazzard and Mr Woodcock.

In addition, Amanda Detmer can be seen in comedy drama show What About Brian.
