Sam Raimi talks Spider-Man 4

4 stars out of 5.0
Spider-Man director Sam Raimi has discussed preparations for the next movie in the series with a fan website.

Comics Should Be Good asked Raimi whether he had made any decision yet on directing the fourth Spider-Man film, but he said it was still too early to tell and that he is soon to begin working on a screenplay with the writer.

In addition, he said that "anything's possible" for Peter Parker in the next instalment, which may not follow the story told in the first three.

"I'd very much like to see Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, so I have a personal interest in that … you could start over or you could start with a different aspect of the story than I've focused on in the pictures I've made," he explained.

"We'll just have to wait and see."

Although Spider-Man and its sequels may be one of the most high-profile projects undertaken by Raimi, he has also served as producer on a wide range of other pictures, including recent horror hits 30 Days Of Night, The Grudge 2 and Boogeyman.
