I Am Legend stays on top of UK chart

4 stars out of 5.0
Will Smith's most recent foray into the sci-fi genre has stayed at the top of the UK box office for the second week in a row.

I Am Legend, which sees Smith as a virologist who is the last man on earth after a disease wipes out the population, took £3.74 million in sophomore week of release and kept romcom PS I Love you in the number two slot.

According to data from AC Nielsen, Enchanted occupied number three and cheeky schoolgirl remake St Trinian's took fourth place.

The Golden Compass, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Bee Movie followed at five, six and seven respectively - suggesting that family fare is still proving popular as the new year progresses.

The Kite Runner and Balls Of Fury followed in the chart, with new entry Se, Jie debuting at number ten.
