Emily Blunt to star in The Wolf Man

English actress Emily Blunt is soon to start filming The Wolf Man with Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro, it emerged today.

According to Empire Online, the star of The Devil Wears Prada told press at the Sundance Film Festival she will feature in the movie, which is described as an updated version of the spooky werewolf legend.

Aside from her scene-stealing role in the aforementioned comedy, she also stars in current releases Charlie Wilson's War and Dan In Real Life.

Of her upcoming role, she said it was "really, really good", although she would not go and see it herself because it is too scary.

"It's a period gothic werewolf story, it's really good, really smart," Blunt added.

The Wolf Man is to be directed by Mark Romanek and was written by Andrew Kevin Walker, whose previous scripts include the terrifying Sleepy Hollow and truly scary Seven.
