Nominees react to Oscar nods

Following yesterday's Oscar nominations the build-up now begins for the ceremony, scheduled to take place on February 23rd.

Nominees told the Hollywood Reporter how they felt about being shortlisted for one of the coveted golden trophies, including British actor Tom Wilkinson, who could win for his role in Michael Clayton.

"I think I'm feeling pretty chipper," he said. "I think I just might have a glass of wine tonight."

Meanwhile, 13-year-old Saoirse Ronan, who is up for best supporting actress for Atonement, said she feels "amazing" and said she screamed upon finding out.

"It's the best feeling," she added.

Other nominees included Casey Affleck, who told the magazine he was trying to take the accolade with a pinch of salt because there is always luck involved - particularly when shortlisted alongside the likes of Javier Bardem and Hal Holbrook.
