Get Smart gets online

A new trailer for 60's spy comedy spin-off Get Smart with 40 Year Old Virgin and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy star Steve Carell has gone online, according to movie mag Empire.

The film, which also stars Ann Hathaway of The Princess Diaries as Agent 99 and Little Miss Sunshine's Alan Arkin as The Chief, follows the endlessly enthusiastic but hopelessly incompetent spy Maxwell Smart as he battles the shadowy evil-doers of KAOS.

Peter Segal, who directed The Longest Yard, Anger Management and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult, is behind the camera for the movie.

According to Empire, other new trailers hitting the web this week include the promo for Step Brothers, which reunites Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby duo Will Ferrell and John C Reilly.

The comedy features Ferrell and Reilly as two spoilt, over-grown kids who become ultra-competitive once their single parents marry each other.

Curb Your Enthusiasm's Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins of Six Feet Under fame play the put-upon mom and pop.

Get Smart is slated to open in the UK on August 15th. Step Brothers will follow on September 26th.
