Page turns away from life in Hell

2 stars out of 5.0
Production delays have forced Juno star Ellen Page to drop out of horror flick Drag Me To Hell, the Hollywood Reporter says.

Page, who plays pregnant Smart Alec teenager Juno McGuff in the Oscar-winner, was forced to pull out because the delayed shoot now clashes with two other projects the in-demand actress has in the pipeline.

One is the Drew Barrymore-directed Whip It!, a roller-derby comedy that Page is reportedly planning to prepare for with "intense" physical training, while the other is the thriller Peacock, with 28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy.

The Hollywood Reporter says the hunt is now on for Page's replacement in Drag Me To Hell.

The film's director, Sam Raimi, was the man behind cult gore-fest The Evil Dead and blockbusting Spider Man trilogy.

Ellen Page recently won Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Award for her role in Juno, while the film itself picked up the Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars.
